After a bumpy couple of days, the stock market was grinding higher on Thursday.
The S&P 500 was up 0.5%. The Nasdaq Composite rose 0.5%. The Dow was up 256 points, or 0.6%. The Russell 2000 was up 0.5%, too.
Even more encouraging was breadth: Nearly two-thirds of the stocks in the S&P 500 were on track to close higher. The Invesco S&P 500 Equal Weight ETF, which counts every stock in the index the same, was up 0.4%.
