Sensex Today | Omaxe arm to develop Rs 1,500 crore multi-sports stadium, retail, and hospitality hub in Delhi
Worldstreet Sports Centre Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary and special purpose company (SPC) of Omaxe Ltd, will develop an integrated multi-sport facility for about Rs 1,500 crore, said the company in an exchange filing on April 8.
The facility will include an indoor stadium, an international cricket stadium, a retail and hospitality hub, and an area dedicated to cricket and football on 54 acres in Delhi’s Dwarka area.
The facilities are being built under a public-private partnership model with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The cost of construction will be funded through internal accruals and the company is expecting a revenue of around Rs 2,500 crore through the sale of retail units.

Stock Marke LIVE Updates | Pegatron in talks with Tata to sell its only iPhone plant in India: Report
Pegatron is in advanced talks to hand over control of its only iPhone manufacturing facility in India to the Tata Group, said two sources with direct knowledge, marking the Taiwanese firm’s latest scale back of its Apple partnership.
Under the deal, which has received the backing of Apple, Tata plans to hold at least a 65% stake in a joint venture that will operate the Pegatron plant near Chennai city in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu, with the Taiwanese firm providing technical support and holding the rest, one of the sources said.
Tata, one the largest conglomerates in India, will operate the joint venture through its Tata Electronics unit, the second source said.
The Pegatron India factory has around 10,000 employees and makes 5 million iPhones annually. It is the last such facility operated by the firm after it forfeited control of an iPhone plant in China last year to rival Luxshare in a $290 million deal. Read More

Stock Marke LIVE Updates | Tata Motors’ JLR records 11% sales growth in Q4FY24
Tata Motors on April 8 said retail sales of Jaguar Land Rover surged 11 percent year-on-year (YoY) to 114,038 units in the fourth quarter of FY24, driven by increased production and sustained global demand.
The retail sales during the quarter compared to the past year were up 32% in the UK, 21% in North America, and 16% overseas. In China, sales were down9%, while it fell 2% in Europe for the quarter, according to the filing.
Full-year sales jumped 20 percent YoY as wholesale volumes stood at 401,303, up 25 percent, while retail sales came at 431,733, recording a 22 percent growth, Tata Motors said in an exchange filing.
