Share Market Today Live Updates: Sensex, Nifty open higher (File Image)
Stock Market Live: Taking cues from global markets, Indian equity indices opened on a higher note on Wednesday (April 10). BSE Sensex opened 270.26 points, or 0.26 per cent higher at 74,954.00 while Nifty 50 inched 77.50, or 0.34 per cent up at 22,720.30. GIFT Nifty is trading at a premium of 61 points at 22,820.00.
On the currency front, rupee opened 10 paise stronger against its American peer. The Indian currency opened trade at 83.21/$ vs Tuesday’s close of 83.31/$.
International crude oil prices remain steady as Middle East uncertainty continues to loom. Brent futures inched 0.02 per cent higher at $89.44 a barrel while WTI futures gained 0.05 per cent higher at $85.27 a barrel.

Asian stocks remain muted as investors kept watch for possible intervention by Bank of Japan to stop the yen’s decline. MSCI’s broadest index of Asia-Pacific shares outside Japan is up 0.2 per cent, after key US indices ended the previous session with mild gains.
US inched remained flat in the last trading session with Dow futures slipping in red. NASDAQ settled 0.32 per cent up at 16,306.64.
