TYLER, Texas (KLTV) – Dillard’s, Inc. is transferring its primary stock exchange listings from the New York Stock Exchange to the newly formed Texas Stock Exchange, according to a Friday news release.

The voluntary listing transfer applies to Dillard’s common stock and the capital securities of Dillard’s Capital Trust I.

Both securities will cease trading on the NYSE at the close of regular market trading on Friday, Oct. 2, and begin trading as primary listings on the TXSE when markets open Monday, Oct. 5.

Both listings will keep their existing ticker symbols.

Shareholders and securityholders do not need to take any action in connection with the transition, according to the release.

Although headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, Dillard’s has historical roots in Texas that date back seven decades to 1956, when founder William T. Dillard purchased a store in downtown Tyler.

Texas has since become the retail giant’s largest market, operating 54 store locations across the state. In August 2025, Dillard’s formally reincorporated from Delaware to Texas.
