KPI Green Energy Ltd.(up 5.00%), RattanIndia Power Ltd.(up 4.53%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(up 2.53%) and Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(up 2.00%) stood among the top gainers.
Inox Wind Ltd.(down 5.90%), JSW Energy Ltd.(down 5.43%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(down 5.00%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(down 5.00%), Indo Tech Transformers Ltd.(down 5.00%), NLC India Ltd.(down 4.91%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 4.89%), Torrent Power Ltd.(down 4.70%), NHPC Ltd.(down 4.58%) and CESC Ltd.(down 4.47%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 140.21 points down at 22302.5, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 383.69 points at 73511.85.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 5.47%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.4%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 2.22%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.09%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.48%), ITC Ltd.(up 1.29%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 1.21%), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.15%), Infosys Ltd.(up 1.06%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.67%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 4.14%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 3.79%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 3.04%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.01%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.92%), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 2.73%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.65%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 2.59%), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.55%) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 2.43%) closed in the red.
