Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the Nasdaq Composite hit fresh highs and what’s on the radar for the next session. New highs The Nasdaq Composite hit a new high Monday. It is now up 18% year to date. The S & P 500 is off 0.55% from the August high. The 2-year Treasury yield hit 4.8% Monday. The 10-year yield hit highs not seen since 2002. It was at about 5.3% Monday night. US10Y YTD mountain U.S. 10-year yield in 2026 All things being not so equal The Invesco S & P 500 Equal Weight ETF (RSP) is now off 5.5% from the high and down 3.6% in a month. The S & P 500, which is heavily weighted with big tech, is up 0.7% in a month. The First Trust Nasdaq-100 Select Equal Weight ETF (QQEW) is up 2.6% in a month. The Nasdaq-100 hit a high on Monday and is up 5.2% in a month. The First Trust Dow 30 Equal Weight ETF (EDOW) is down 5.5% from the high. The fund is down 4% in a month. The Dow is down 6.3% from the high, and down 4% in a month. The changing shape of American defense President Trump will be in the great state of Maryland to speak at an Anduril facility. That’s a relatively new defense tech company that makes drones and is working toward AI-assigned missions. Anduril’s website explains further, “Lattice for Mission Autonomy enables teams of unmanned systems to autonomously and dynamically collaborate to achieve mission outcomes across sea, land, and air.” The second part of Anduril’s page says it “operationalizes affordable mass with teams of low-cost autonomous systems under the command of a single human operator, extending reach, capabilities and situational awareness while enabling warfighters to make better decisions, faster.” While the impact on more traditional defense companies is unclear, Pentagon leader Pete Hegseth has said he would like more options that are lower cost and readily available. Shares of Lockheed Martin are down 26% from the high. The stock is up almost 5% this year. Shares of Huntington Ingalls are down 42% from the high. Shares are off about 22% in 2026. Elbit Systems is down 30% from the March high, but shares are up 23% year to date. Howmet Aerospace is off 26% from the high hit this summer. It’s up about 12% year to date. General Dynamics is down 17% from the high. It’s down 1.5% this year. Leidos is off 41% from the November 2025 high. The stock is down 34% year to date. Northrop Grumman is down 38% from the high. It is down 16% year to date. More on this on CNBC all day Tuesday. LDOS YTD mountain Leidos in 2026 Lamb Weston reports on ‘Squawk Box’ The Idaho-based French fry guys are down 3% in three months. Lamb Weston is off 34% from the October 2025 high. CrowdStrike CEO George Kurtz will be on ” Squawk on the Street ” live with Jim Cramer, Carl Quintanilla and David Faber. The stock hit a new high Monday. Shares are up about 173% in six months. Cramer struck while the iron was hot on CrowdStrike , buying it for the charitable trust back in March. Shares have gained 165% since then, catching just about the entire big run behind the stock. CRWD 6M mountain CrowdStrike in six months Housing in the U.S.A. CNBC housing reporter Diana Olick will report on the affordability problems in one key battleground states. While affordability continues to be a big issue from coast to coast, here’s how the stocks are doing. PulteGroup is off 21% from the February high. Hovnanian is down 25% from the June high. KB Home is down 34% from its 52-week high. D.R. Horton is down 25% from its high. Lennar fell almost 7% Monday on a short report from the Hunterbrook Media. Shares are now down 45% from the December 2025 high. Marvelous Marvell CNBC tech reporter Seema Mody will go in-depth on Marvell Technology Tuesday. The stock is up about 220% so far this year, but it’s down 17% from the June high.
