Deutsche Bank poised to drop shipping coverage with exit of analyst Amit Mehrotra

Deutsche Bank is moving out of shipping coverage with the departure of veteran analyst Amit Mehrotra, who has been headlining research on the sector for a decade.

The exit in a peak rates period for most shipping sectors is bound to be a bit of a head-scratcher for some, especially as the bank had the option to transfer names currently on Mehrotra’s watch to well-regarded deputy Chris Robertson.
