Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 11:00AM

Coal India Ltd.(up 3.67%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 3.49%), MOIL Ltd.(up 3.25%), Pokarna Ltd.(up 2.07%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 1.89%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 1.46%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 1.31%), NMDC Ltd.(up 1.29%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 0.51%) and 20 Microns Ltd.(up 0.22%) were among the top gainers.

Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 0.09%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 70.0 points up at 24656.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 187.13 points at 80851.99 at around 11:00AM.

Coal India Ltd.(up 3.8%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.88%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.15%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.04%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.6%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.1%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.01%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 0.95%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.9%) and Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.82%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.53%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.29%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.18%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.08%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.0%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.76%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.54%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 0.41%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.38%) and Wipro Ltd.(down 0.38%) were trading in the red.
