Selling among large technology stocks accelerated shortly after the market opened on Wednesday.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped 1%. The S&P 500 was down 0.3%. The Dow, which is less influenced by Big Tech than the other major indexes, was up 166 points, or 0.4%.

The Roundhill Magnificent Seven ETF was down 0.9%.

Apple was the only Magnificent Seven stock on the rise with a gain of 0.5%. Nvidia was down 2.6%; Tesla was down 1.4%; Alphabet fell 0.9%; Amazon.com was down 0.5%; Meta Platforms was down 0.2%; Microsoft slipped 0.1%.

Such stocks lifted the market on Tuesday amid a slow day of trading.

The S&P and Nasdaq are both at risk of snapping their longest winning streaks in just over a month.
