North Carolina head coach Bill Belichick will help cover the national championship clash between Miami and Indiana in the College Football Playoff.
Belichick will serve as a guest analyst as part of ACC Network’s on-site coverage of the Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium, ESPN announced Friday.
As for the Tar Heels, they wrapped up a 4-8 finish during their first season with Belichick patrolling the sidelines.
He joined North Carolina in Dec. 2024 following his legendary tenure as head coach of the New England Patriots, winning six Super Bowls across his 24 years with the team.
Belichick has prior media experience, hosting The Breakdown on ESPN with former NFL star Peyton Manning before taking over as head coach of the Tar Heels. He’s also made multiple appearances on the ManningCast alternate broadcast of NFL games alongside Peyton and his brother, Eli.
Now, Belichick is set to cover the Hurricanes as they attempt to capture their sixth national title.
Miami earned the final at-large bid in the 2025-26 CFP field despite failing to advance to the ACC Championship Game, clinching a berth due to its head-to-head win over Notre Dame on Aug. 31.
The Hurricanes defeated Texas A&M in the first round of the playoff before taking down Ohio State and Ole Miss in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively.
Sixth-year quarterback Carson Beck has led Miami’s offense, completing 73.3 percent of his throws for 3,581 yards and 29 touchdowns compared to 11 interceptions.
Head coach Mario Cristobal’s squad has a tough task ahead, as Indiana enters the contest with a 15-0 record. The Hoosiers have also outscored their opponents 94-25 in two playoff games.
Kickoff between Indiana and Miami is on Monday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
