Stock futures are pointing to a flat open on Tuesday as the market looks to extend a rally that has pushed major indexes to record levels.

Futures tied to the Dow Jones Industrial Average and Nasdaq were down fractionally, while those linked to the S&P 500 were up slightly. The S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite hit all-time highs on Monday, led by gains for chip stocks and other technology companies.

Large-cap tech stocks were mixed but little changed ahead of the bell on Tuesday, with Nvidia (NVDA), Apple (AAPL), Amazon (AMZN) and Meta Platforms (META) rising, while Microsoft (MSFT) , Alphabet (GOOGL) and Tesla (TSLA) slipped.

Shares of Super Micro Computer (SMCI) were on the move again in premarket trading, rising 8%. The stock gained nearly 30% yesterday after the server maker said that an independent review of its accounting practices found no wrongdoing.

Zscaler (ZS) shares were down 7% after the cloud security company reported disappointing quarterly results. Investors are awaiting scheduled releases later today of earnings reports from cloud software company Salesforce (CRM) and chipmaker Marvell Technology (MRVL). Salesforce shares were up slightly this morning, while Marvell shares added 2.5%.

The economic calendar is light on Tuesday but picks up in the coming days, with Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell scheduled to speak at an event on Wednesday and the November jobs report slated for release Friday morning. Investors will be keeping close tabs on those events as they look for indications of how aggressive the Fed will be as it cuts interest rates.

The yield on 10-year Treasurys, which is correlated with expectations about where interest rates are headed, was up slightly at 4.21% this morning.

Bitcoin was trading at $94,500, down from an overnight high above $96,000. Gold futures were up slightly at around $2,660 an ounce, while crude oil futures rose about 2%.
