India’s factory growth accelerates in October, PMI shows
India’s manufacturing growth gained momentum in October after decelerating for three months as demand improved significantly, helping in job creation and leading to a better business outlook, according to a business survey released on Monday.
The HSBC final India Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index, complied by S&P Global, rose to 57.5 in October from an eight-month low of 56.5 in September and was above a preliminary estimate of 57.4.

OCT AUTO SALES DATA | M&M records highest ever SUV sales
The company announced that it has recorded a 25% YoY growth in its SUV sales at 54,504 vehicles, its highest ever monthly number.
The 3.5T + MHCV witnessed a fall of 9% and 5% YoY respectively. Meanwhile, the LCV 2 T – 3.5 T and the 3 wheeler segment saw a surge of 17% and 5% YoY respectively.
Additionally, the company also recorded its highest-ever tractor sales of 64,326 units in October.

OCT AUTO SALES DATA | Hero MotoCorp sales rise 18% to 6.8 lakh units in Oct
Hero MotoCorp on Friday said its overall sales increased by 18 per cent year-on-year to 6,79,091 units in October. The country’s largest two-wheeler maker has sold 5,74,930 units in October 2023.
Domestic dispatches to dealers rose to 6,57,403 units compared to 5,59,766 units in the year-ago period, the company said in a statement.

The company on Monday posted its October sales number reporting merely a 2% YoY rise to 4,79,707 units. The total number of vehicles sold was reported at 4,71,188 units in October 2023.
The company reported its domestic sales figure for the 2-wheeler segment at 2,55,909 units, which has declined by 8% on a year-on-year basis from 2,78,486 units sold in October 2023. The exports, however, surged by 22% YoY to 1,58,463 units.
