Indian benchmark indices opened higher on Wednesday, led by energy stocks on a fall in crude oil prices, while IT stocks rebounded from a recent drop. The blue chip NSE Nifty 50 index was up 0.34 per cent to 22,078.95, while the BSE Sensex rose 0.28 per cent to 72,672.20.
International crude oil price slipped after Ukrainian drone attacks damaged Russia oil infrastructure. Brent crude oil is trading 0.74 points, or 0.86 per cent at $85.51 a barrel while WTI price is trading 0.64 points, or 0.78 per cent lower at $80.98 a barrel

US indices closed marginally lower as S&p500 notches 3-day losing streak. Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) slipped 31.31 points, or 0.08 per cent at 39,282.33 while S&P 500 closed 0.28 per cent lower. Tech heavy NASDAQ settled 0.42 per cent down at 16,315.70.
