Share Market Live Updates: Sensex, Nifty open with minor gains (File Image)
Stock Market Live Updates: After mid-week closing on the occasion of Ram Navami, Indian benchmark indices opened in green territory. BSE Sensex opened 239.42 points, or 0.33 per cent higher at 73,183.10 while Nifty gained 64.40, or 0.29 per cent higher at 22212.30.
Indian shares nudged higher after falling for three consecutive sessions.
International oil futures inched marginally higher after falling from $90 a barrel mark as US reimposed sanction on oil rich Venezuela owing to failure of President Maduro’s regime, as per Washington, to meet election commitments. In the first quarter, the South American nation exported 6,00,000 barrels per day (bpd), of which 1,50,000 bpd were destined for the US, ANZ Research said in its note.
Brent oil futures are up 0.34 per cent higher at $87.59 a barrel while US WTI inched 0.25 per cent up at $82.90 a barrel.

US indices closed previous session in red as Fed hints continuation of higher rate regime in the near future. Tech heavy NASDAQ slipped as much as 1% to settle at 15,683.37 while Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) inched 0.12 per cent lower to 37,753.31.
Asian shares regained strength after closing in red for past few sessions. Japan’s Nikkei is trading 0.35 per cent higher at 38,101.79 while South Korea’s Kospi is trading 1.63 per cent up at 2,626.34.
