NEW DELHI: Fertilisers shares closed lower in the Tuesday’s session.
Khaitan Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 7.72%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(up 7.19%), Aries Agro Ltd.(up 5.39%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(up 4.82%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(up 4.07%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 3.49%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 3.28%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.54%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.21%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 2.01%) stood among the top gainers.
Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(down 0.15%) and Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 0.06%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 8.71 points down at 22453.3, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 110.64 points at 73903.91.
Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 4.08%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.93%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.59%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.52%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.06%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.95%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.53%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.46%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.25%) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.11%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.57%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.86%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.83%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.68%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.3%), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.85%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.85%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.8%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.78%) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.75%) closed in the red.
