Stock market update: Fertilisers stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Fertilisers stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:50AM

National Fertilizers Ltd.(up 4.39%), The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Ltd.(up 4.24%), Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 3.77%), Rashtriya Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd.(up 3.01%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(up 2.53%), Chambal Fertilisers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.21%), Gujarat State Fertilizer & Chemicals Ltd.(up 2.07%), Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd.(up 1.95%), Deepak Fertilisers & Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.(up 1.82%) and Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(up 1.79%) were among the top gainers.

Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 3.25%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 70.41 points up at 24081.0, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 194.97 points at 79227.7 at around 10:50AM.

Wipro Ltd.(up 3.11%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 2.26%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.93%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.83%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.8%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.75%), Nestle India Ltd.(up 1.34%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 1.34%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.26%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.22%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, NTPC Ltd.(down 1.8%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.1%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.07%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.05%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.9%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.81%), State Bank of India(down 0.66%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.65%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.52%) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.47%) were trading in the red.
