NEW DELHI: Mining shares closed higher in the Tuesday’s session.
Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 2.32%) and Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 0.25%) stood among the top gainers.
NMDC Ltd.(down 4.22%), KIOCL Ltd.(down 3.89%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(down 3.48%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 2.64%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(down 2.45%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 1.99%), MOIL Ltd.(down 0.93%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(down 0.60%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 0.53%) and 20 Microns Ltd.(down 0.34%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 76.3 points up at 22198.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 305.09 points at 73095.22.
Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.75%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.59%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.82%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.66%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 1.64%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.58%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.27%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.26%), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.2%) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.09%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.47%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.31%), State Bank of India(down 1.2%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.05%), UPL Ltd.(down 0.94%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.85%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 0.77%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.66%), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.57%) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.45%) closed in the red.
