Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:24AM

The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(up 3.61%), 20 Microns Ltd.(up 3.20%), MOIL Ltd.(up 2.02%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 1.85%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 1.60%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 1.46%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 1.21%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(up 1.20%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 0.73%) and Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 0.27%) were among the top gainers.

Pokarna Ltd.(down 0.82%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 72.25 points up at 24197.8, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 276.67 points at 79685.17 at around 10:24AM.

Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.18%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 2.12%), State Bank of India(up 1.64%), Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 1.26%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.25%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.13%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.12%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.09%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 1.08%) and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.76%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.16%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.04%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.94%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.8%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.64%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.07%), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.95%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 0.83%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.7%) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.66%) were trading in the red.
