Stock market update: Mining stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading higher on Monday at 11:28AM

Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(up 8.09%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 4.90%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(up 4.34%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 3.50%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 2.72%), NMDC Ltd.(up 2.18%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 1.85%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 1.63%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.10%) and MOIL Ltd.(up 0.96%) were among the top gainers.

Pokarna Ltd.(down 2.09%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 116.8 points up at 25119.85, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 335.28 points at 82524.27 at around 11:28AM.

Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 4.02%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.97%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.77%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.63%), Trent Ltd.(up 1.86%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.85%), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 1.76%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 1.47%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.25%) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.12%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.3%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 0.79%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.61%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.55%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.48%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.4%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.33%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.32%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.3%) and Eternal Ltd.(down 0.23%) were trading in the red.
