NEW DELHI: Power shares closed lower in the Tuesday’s session.
Torrent Power Ltd.(up 9.46%), Inox Wind Ltd.(up 5.00%), Reliance Power Ltd.(up 4.95%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 4.93%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(up 4.56%), Neueon Towers Ltd.(up 4.29%), PTC India Ltd.(up 3.64%), Adani Energy Solutions Ltd.(up 2.99%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd.(up 1.67%) and NTPC Ltd.(up 1.34%) stood among the top gainers.
Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 4.99%), Indowind Energy Ltd.(down 4.18%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd.(down 3.51%), RattanIndia Power Ltd.(down 3.38%), Hitachi Energy India Ltd.(down 2.70%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(down 2.40%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.07%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(down 2.06%), Karma Energy Ltd.(down 1.99%) and Adani Power Ltd.(down 1.71%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 92.05 points down at 22004.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 361.64 points at 72470.3.
Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.21%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.99%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.99%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.77%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.45%), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.34%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.19%), Coal India Ltd.(up 0.93%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.86%) and Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 0.75%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.07%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.94%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.87%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.49%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.28%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.21%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.18%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.11%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.08%) and UPL Ltd.(down 0.98%) closed in the red.
