NEW DELHI: Power shares closed higher in the Thursday’s session.
Transformers & Rectifiers(India)Ltd.(up 4.99%), Suzlon Energy Ltd.(up 4.94%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(up 4.78%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat)Ltd.(up 4.53%), India Power Corporation Ltd.(up 4.41%), Neueon Towers Ltd.(up 3.95%), Energy Development Company Ltd.(up 3.53%), Adani Power Ltd.(up 3.34%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.47%) and JSW Energy Ltd.(up 2.38%) stood among the top gainers.
Torrent Power Ltd.(down 4.38%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 3.86%), NLC India Ltd.(down 2.15%), Karma Energy Ltd.(down 2.00%), Inox Wind Ltd.(down 1.61%), SJVN Ltd.(down 1.15%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd.(down 0.95%), KPI Green Energy Ltd.(down 0.60%), PTC India Ltd.(down 0.57%) and Hitachi Energy India Ltd.(down 0.47%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 203.25 points up at 22326.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 655.04 points at 73651.35.
Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.87%), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 3.63%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.28%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 3.17%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.7%), State Bank of India(up 2.6%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.47%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.41%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.3%) and Cipla Ltd.(up 2.3%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.54%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(down 0.47%), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.46%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.19%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.18%) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 0.16%) closed in the red.
