NEW DELHI: Shares of Nagreeka Export, Cubex Tubings, Sapphire Foods, D P Abhushan and Popular Vehicles, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 09:59AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 25.55 points to 21843.0 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Vaxtex Cotfab, N K Industries, Somi Conveyor, Bohra Industries and SCI Land and Assets, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 25 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 25 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Eicher Motors, Maruti Suzuki, IndusInd Bank, Nestle India and BPCL were among top gainers, while Hindalco, Tata Steel, UPL, Dr. Reddys and Tata Motors traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 122.9 points up at 72134.95 at 09:59AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Telecommunications, Leather, Auto, Rubber and Beverages – Alcoholic sectors, while selling was visible in Agro Processing, FMCG, Defence, Logistics and Apparels sectors.
