NEW DELHI: Shares of Hindustan Motor, Premier Exp, TPL Plastech, Automotive Stamp and Venus Pipes & Tubes, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:29AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 85.3 points to 22232.3 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as CMI Ltd, Sumeet Ind, Melstar Info, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and Blue Coast Hotel, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 44 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 6 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, BPCL, Wipro, Shriram Finance, Bajaj Finance and SBI Life were among top gainers, while NTPC, HDFC Bank, JSW Steel, M&M and ITC traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 204.1 points up at 73292.43 at 10:29AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Sugar, Telecommunications, Airlines, Holding Company and Metals – Non Ferrous sectors, while selling was visible in Trading, Media & Entertainment, Cement, Learning & Education and IT Software sectors.
