NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading higher on Monday at 10:19AM
Triveni Engineering & Industries Ltd.(up 8.99%), Ugar Sugar Works Ltd.(up 7.84%), KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 7.25%), Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 6.60%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 6.38%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 5.89%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(up 5.78%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 5.54%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 5.35%) and Uttam Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.83%) were among the top gainers.
Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.(down 0.24%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 115.25 points up at 22262.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 313.79 points at 73402.12 at around 10:19AM.
Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 3.56%), Wipro Ltd.(up 2.32%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.93%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.92%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.79%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.78%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.73%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.71%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.68%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 1.52%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, NTPC Ltd.(down 1.3%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.77%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.31%) and JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.22%) were trading in the red.
