Stocks briefly pulled back after President Donald Trump’s trade announcement was light on substance.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average was up 185 points, or 0.5%. The S&P 500 was up 0.4%. The Nasdaq Composite was up 0.6%. All three indexes wobbled but rebounded as the president took questions from reporters in the Oval Office.
Stocks initially slipped as Trump started speaking about an agreement between the U.S. and the U.K. that “includes billions of dollars of increased market access for American exports.”
