Quick Read

  • RBLX stock is down 35% year to date as Roblox heads into Q3 earnings with bookings guided between 14% and 18% below last year’s record quarter.

  • Traders on Polymarket put the odds of an EPS beat at 83.5%, yet Roblox fell over 18% after Q1 even when it beat estimates.

  • U.S. users aged 18 to 34 grew DAUs and hours roughly 40% year over year, making adult engagement a potential bright spot for sentiment.

  • Building a portfolio and living off one are two completely different skills, and almost nobody teaches the second. This problem is what The Definitive Guide to Retirement Income helps, and it is free today. Read more here. (Sponsor)

Roblox (NYSE:RBLX) reports third-quarter results on Thursday, Oct. 29. A string of guidance cuts and slowing bookings marked the first half of 2026. I want to know whether the summer hit Steal an Egg turned new engagement into real spending.

Monetization Slump Meets a Lowered Bar

Last quarter, revenue grew 36% to $1.5 billion. Bookings rose only 8% to $1.6 billion, which was the low end of guidance. DAUs reached 123 million, up 10% year over year. Management blamed two things: players moving away from high-spending viral games, and a recommendation algorithm that now puts long-term retention ahead of near-term spending.

CEO David Baszucki said bookings came in “below our internal goal.” For Q3, Roblox guided bookings to $1.58 billion to $1.65 billion. That would be a 14% to 18% decline from last year’s record quarter. Management also decided not to update its full-year outlook.

The stock closed at $52.91. It’s down 34.73% year to date but up 7.96% over the past month.
