Stock market update: Sugar stocks up as market falls

KCP Sugar & Industries Corporation Ltd.(up 20.00%), Ponni Sugars(Erode)Ltd.(up 10.08%), Bannari Amman Sugars Ltd.(up 7.15%), Sakthi Sugars Ltd.(up 6.61%), Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar Ltd.(up 6.30%), Kothari Sugars & Chemicals Ltd.(up 4.99%), Avadh Sugar & Energy Ltd.(up 4.94%), Dwarikesh Sugar Industries Ltd.(up 4.62%), KM Sugar Mills Ltd.(up 4.11%) and Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.(up 3.74%) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.69%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.49%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.25%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.18%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.13%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.06%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.94%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.89%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.84%) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 0.8%) closed in the red.
