NEW DELHI: Mining shares closed higher in the Monday’s session.
Oriental Trimex Ltd.(up 20.01%), KIOCL Ltd.(up 12.55%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(up 5.00%), Pokarna Ltd.(up 3.60%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(up 2.88%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 1.54%), NMDC Ltd.(up 0.80%), 20 Microns Ltd.(up 0.36%), MOIL Ltd.(up 0.35%) and Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 0.14%) stood among the top gainers.
Coal India Ltd.(down 3.96%) and The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 0.93%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 81.55 points up at 22122.25, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 281.52 points at 72708.16.
Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.99%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.81%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.22%), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.06%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 2.01%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.99%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.59%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.42%), UPL Ltd.(up 1.36%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.34%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India Ltd.(down 3.96%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.39%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.3%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.3%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.23%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.19%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.86%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.68%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.66%) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.66%) closed in the red.
