Oil climbs on US output concerns, expected crude inventory drop
Oil prices continued to rise on Tuesday, driven by concerns over U.S. output following Hurricane Francine and expectations of reduced U.S. crude stockpiles.
At 0420 GMT, Brent crude futures for November were up 34 cents, or 0.5%, trading at $73.09 per barrel. U.S. crude futures for October increased by 49 cents, or 0.7%, reaching $70.58 per barrel.
The conditions that called us to look for dips are still persistent, though with lesser intensity, prompting us to start the day by looking for an hour’s trade above 25400 to pursue with the 25800 trajectory. Inability to do so may allow pull back that may extend as far as 25276 or 25200. Collapse beyond the same is not expected today.
