Stock market live updates today: Hitachi Energy’s dream run continues in HVDC, wins Fatehpur Bhadla:++ Hitachi Energy ; -ve GE T&D

**Hitachi Energy has won the Fatehpur Bhadla HVDC order from Adani Energy

**As per Powergrid, this project was valued at Rs240bn, with the equipment order likely to be ~Rs80-90bn for the high voltage equipment

**This is ~50% of Hitachi’s current order book of Rs190bn

**Earlier indication was that this may likely go to GE TD since there Hitachi had already won two HVDC lines, and negative for the stock since valuation were building one HVDC win in the current tenders

**Hitachi has a 100% strike rate of the LCC lines awarded so far, as well as with Adani who have given them Mumbai HVDC as well

**Given a private developer order, there could be lower margins as compared to Powergrid, but we believe it is not material impact for Hitachi whose 9MFY25 margins are at ~7.2%, unlike ge Vernova which is in high teens

**We believe Hitachi will dominate the HVDC market as it has done historically, where it has a 50% market share.

    * Powergrid indicated that for the Leh project they have shortlisted Hitachi and Siemens, so *Hitachi’s dream run will likely continue to in HVDC

Stock market live updates today: Stock to buy today: Vedanta (₹455.55)

The stock of Vedanta has a support band between ₹415 and ₹425. This has been holding well since May 2024, showing that it is a strong support. Last week, the stock bounced off this range. The weekly chart shows that there has been good buying in the last two weeks. Although there is a resistance ahead at ₹460, we expect the stock to surpass this level. Once this happens, it will open the door for a rally to ₹520. Read more
