Good morning. Stocks declined on Thursday as cybersecurity and the broader software sector fell on the heels of disappointing forecasts.

Big Tech stocks were dragged lower following Alphabet’s (GOOG) (GOOGL) rare top- and bottom-line miss. Shares of Microsoft (MSFT), which reported strong earnings on Wednesday, also erased a post-market rise amid a broader tech sell-off.

The Tech (XLK) sector declined, sending chip makers Nvidia (NVDA), AMD (AMD), and Broadcom (AVGO) all lower.

Here’s a check of the markets in the first few minutes of trading, based on a heat map powered by Yahoo Finance AlphaSpace data.
