Bonheur ASA (OB:BONHR) just released its latest third-quarter results and things are looking bullish. The company beat forecasts, with revenue of kr3.6b, some 9.1% above estimates, and statutory earnings per share (EPS) coming in at kr12.40, 31% ahead of expectations. Following the result, the analysts have updated their earnings model, and it would be good to know whether they think there’s been a strong change in the company’s prospects, or if it’s business as usual. So we gathered the latest post-earnings forecasts to see what estimates suggest is in store for next year.

Taking into account the latest results, the consensus forecast from Bonheur’s three analysts is for revenues of kr13.2b in 2027. This reflects a modest 5.9% improvement in revenue compared to the last 12 months. Statutory earnings per share are predicted to soar 22% to kr29.98. In the lead-up to this report, the analysts had been modelling revenues of kr13.1b and earnings per share (EPS) of kr29.74 in 2027. The consensus analysts don’t seem to have seen anything in these results that would have changed their view on the business, given there’s been no major change to their estimates.

There were no changes to revenue or earnings estimates or the price target of kr316, suggesting that the company has met expectations in its recent result. There’s another way to think about price targets though, and that’s to look at the range of price targets put forward by analysts, because a wide range of estimates could suggest a diverse view on possible outcomes for the business. The most optimistic Bonheur analyst has a price target of kr387 per share, while the most pessimistic values it at kr280. There are definitely some different views on the stock, but the range of estimates is not wide enough as to imply that the situation is unforecastable, in our view.

One way to get more context on these forecasts is to look at how they compare to both past performance, and how other companies in the same industry are performing. It’s pretty clear that there is an expectation that Bonheur’s revenue growth will slow down substantially, with revenues to the end of 2027 expected to display 4.7% growth on an annualised basis. This is compared to a historical growth rate of 8.4% over the past five years. Compare this to the 38 other companies in this industry with analyst coverage, which are forecast to grow their revenue at 4.1% per year. So it’s pretty clear that, while Bonheur’s revenue growth is expected to slow, it’s expected to grow roughly in line with the industry.

The Bottom Line

The most important thing to take away is that there’s been no major change in sentiment, with the analysts reconfirming that the business is performing in line with their previous earnings per share estimates. They also reconfirmed their revenue estimates, with the company predicted to grow at about the same rate as the wider industry. There was no real change to the consensus price target, suggesting that the intrinsic value of the business has not undergone any major changes with the latest estimates.

Keeping that in mind, we still think that the longer term trajectory of the business is much more important for investors to consider. We have forecasts for Bonheur going out to 2028, and you can see them free on our platform here.
