Growth-focused investors often look for high-energy disruptors, while value-seekers prefer steady household names. Deciding between Celsius (NASDAQ:CELH) and Kimberly-Clark (NASDAQ:KMB) depends on your appetite for risk versus stability.

Celsius is a fast-growing player in the functional drink market, leaning on major distribution deals to expand its footprint. Kimberly-Clark is a legacy powerhouse in the personal care space, selling essential items like diapers and tissues globally. This comparison examines whether the high-growth potential of energy drinks or the defensive reliability of consumer goods is the better move.

The case for Celsius

In its latest annual report, filed for the fiscal year ended December 2025, the company details its focus on functional energy drinks and its roughly 20% share of the U.S. market. Celsius focuses on expanding its presence in the beverage stocks sector by acquiring brands like Alani Nu and Rockstar Energy. It operates primarily through a distribution agreement with PepsiCo, which acts as its primary partner in North America. Customer concentration like this adds a layer of risk to the business. The company also reaches consumers through platforms like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and Shopify (NASDAQ:SHOP).

During FY 2025, the company reported revenue of nearly $2.5 billion, representing an impressive growth rate of approximately 85.5% compared to the prior year. This growth follows a trend of massive expansion, as revenue had previously jumped from approximately $1.3 billion only two years earlier. Net income for the period was close to $108 million, though the net margin, which measures how much profit is kept from each dollar of sales, sat at roughly 4.3%. This margin figure was lower than in previous years as the company scaled its operations and integrated new acquisitions.

The case for Kimberly-Clark

Kimberly-Clark produces essential personal care products ranging from diapers to professional cleaning supplies across the globe. In its latest annual report, filed in late 2025, the company highlights its reach through five core categories, including Baby & Child Care and Family Care. Its largest retail customer is Walmart (NASDAQ:WMT), which accounts for approximately 16% of its total net sales. Customer concentration like this adds a layer of risk to the business, as a significant portion of its sales depends on a single retail partner. Professional products are also sold through distributors to manufacturing, lodging, and food service facilities worldwide.
