Investing.com — Three CoreWeave Inc. co-founders have sold $3.3 billion in company shares since the March 2025 initial public offering, with $2.4 billion of those sales occurring in 2026.
CEO Michael Intrator, Chief Strategy Officer Brian Venturo and Chief Data Officer Brannin McBee joined the Bloomberg Billionaires Index last year after CoreWeave shares rose 359% from the offering price to a peak three months after the IPO.
The stock has since fallen more than 60% from that peak. The shares sold by the trio since the IPO would now be worth nearly a third less than their pretax proceeds from the sales.
Intrator sold more than $907 million in company stock since Jan. 1, representing 16.5% of his undiluted equity holding as of the IPO date. He sold less than $70 million in shares last year.
McBee sold $1.06 billion worth of shares since the IPO, including $577 million this year, amounting to a 40.4% reduction from his undiluted holding at the public debut. Nearly 40% of McBee’s wealth is now held in cash and equivalents, according to Bloomberg’s wealth index.
Venturo sold more than $1.2 billion in shares since the IPO. His $734 million in share sales in the second quarter made him the second-largest insider seller at any U.S. firm during the period. He has sold more than 35% of his IPO stake.
CoreWeave shares fell 15% Wednesday before rebounding slightly Thursday. The drop followed a rise in the company’s credit risk measure to an all-time high after McBee discussed tapping “unlimited” capital from insurers in a Financial Times interview.
The three co-founders have lost $15 billion in paper wealth collectively since CoreWeave’s peak in June 2025.
Before the company went public, the three sold $488 million in shares through separate tender offers in 2023 and 2024, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing.
