Investing.com — DSV shares jumped nearly 8% in early Copenhagen trading Wednesday after the company reported better-than-expected third-quarter revenue and announced a 1.5 billion crown share buyback program, first since its acquisition of Schenker.
Third-quarter revenue came in at 80.7 billion Danish crowns, beating analyst estimates of 74.7 billion crowns and marking a 12% increase from a year earlier.
Adjusted net income rose to 4.07 billion crowns, surpassing the consensus estimate of 3.85 billion. However, adjusted EBIT of 6.61 billion crowns came in slightly below the estimate of 6.66 billion.
The Denmark-based transport and logistics firm narrowed its fiscal 2026 adjusted EBIT guidance to 24 billion to 25 billion crowns from a previous range of 23.5 billion to 25.5 billion. The midpoint of 24.5 billion sits above the analyst consensus of 24.41 billion. The company also reduced its expected special items for integration costs to 5.5 billion crowns from 6.5 billion.
Earnings growth was driven by strong results in the Air & Sea and Contract Logistics divisions, supported by cost synergies from the Schenker integration. The Road division saw earnings decline due to negative volume growth and lower productivity stemming from operational issues related to the Schenker integration. Property disposals also contributed to EBIT across all divisions.
The company noted that its demand outlook continues to be affected by rising energy prices and global inflation. DSV expects an effective tax rate of about 28% for 2026, citing the ongoing Schenker integration.
