Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as October’s trading kicked off, and what’s on the radar for the next session. The jobs report September’s nonfarm payrolls report comes out at 8:30 a.m. ET live on “Squawk Box” with Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin. The Dow Jones consensus estimate is 84,000. Back in August, it was 162,000 . The Great American bond The 10-year Treasury yield hit its highest level since April 2002. It’s now at 5.243%. The 2-year yield is now at 4.791%. The 3-month Treasury bill yield is at 4.094%. “Fast Money” trader Courtney Garcia gave a push to municipal bonds Thursday night. She’s seeing some in the 7%-plus range. Tim Seymour, also of “Fast Money” fame, said he likes the 2-year right now. The iShares 0-5 Year High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (SHYG) is yielding 7.18% Thursday night. US10Y YTD mountain The U.S. 10-year yield in 2026 France’s 10-year note It is now paying 4.93%. The cost of credit default swaps on the five-year French bond jumped 52 basis points Thursday. According to a Reuters report, that’s the biggest jump since 2017. The cost is now double what it was six months ago. Oil West Texas Intermediate crude futures are trading around $93 a barrel Thursday night. This comes after The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. will be sending a third aircraft carrier to the Middle East. The Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF (FENY) was up about 2% Thursday. FENY 5D mountain The Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF (FENY) in the past five days Big calls in 2026 and another big win for ‘Mad Money’ man Jim Cramer As we start the fourth quarter, Mizuho’s call on Revolution Medicines is one of the best of the year. The stock is up nearly 160% so far this year. Jefferies and Okta : The firm was bullish on Okta back in January. The stock is up about 146% so far this year. Jefferies was also big on CrowdStrike early this year. Shares are up 127% year to date. Jim Cramer also hit paydirt on this one, buying it for the charitable trust back in March. Cramer beat the Jefferies team: CrowdStrike is up 160% since his call. Cramer’s call on McDonald’s A great segment 18 minutes into the big show if you want to catch it online: Cramer detailed the pros and cons under the famous golden arches. “A bottom may be at hand.” “I tend to be a buyer and not a seller.” “This is a terrific business.” Cramer said McDonald’s has bounced from lows before. He believes this could be a unique opportunity. Shares are down 32% from the March high, hitting a 52-week low on Thursday. The stock is down 24% so far in 2026. It is the second worst stock this year in the Dow 30, next to Nike . Nike is down 8% in extended trading after earnings . More on that all day Friday on CNBC. MCD YTD mountain McDonald’s in 2026 Tesla Production and delivery numbers could be released for the third quarter on Friday The stock is down 29% from the Dec. 22 high. Tesla shares are down 6% in five days. Meta Platforms A jury in New Mexico could issue a decision Friday on what could be a $200 billion dollar penalty for Mark Zuckerberg and company. That comes after a jury found Meta liable for misleading the public about privacy protections. The stock is up 25% in a month, and shares are down 7% from the Sept. 24 high.
