Informa PLC (LSE:INF), the international events and information group, has launched a retail share offer alongside a planned £940 million equity raise to help fund its £2.24 billion acquisition of Clarion.
The retail offer will allow eligible UK investors to subscribe for newly issued Informa shares through RetailBook and participating brokers, wealth managers and investment platforms.
The issue price will be set following completion of the accelerated bookbuilding process being conducted with institutional investors, with the retail offer priced on the same basis.
Informa said the equity issue will be used to part-fund its acquisition of Clarion, an international business-to-business events operator with a portfolio spanning a range of growth markets. Pasted markdown
Existing shareholders and new investors resident and physically located in the UK can participate, with a minimum subscription of £250.
Applications can be made through Individual Savings Accounts, Self-Invested Personal Pensions and general investment accounts where supported by participating platforms.
The retail offer is conditional on completion of the institutional placing and admission of the new shares to the London Stock Exchange, which is expected at 8 am on 8 October.
Informa said the offer was intended to allow retail investors to participate in the capital raise alongside institutional shareholders.
