The third Monday in February every year is known as Presidents’ Day, which was first established as a federal holiday back in 1885. Does the stock market in the US open on Presidents’ Day?

In observance of Presidents’ Day, the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ, and US bond markets will remain closed on Monday, February 21. They will resume normal operations on Tuesday at their usual time, which is 9:30 am for both NYSE and NASDAQ.
