Stock Market Today Live: BSE opens higher (File Image)
Indian benchmark indices are set to open higher after a strong cue from global markets. S&P 500 and NASDAQ traded near 1 per cent higher while Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) dipped 14 points. The US indices recorded gains for the fifth straight week.
Asian markets opened mixed on Monday morning with Japan’s Nikkei inching 34.14 points or 0.09 per cent at 36,897.42 while South Korea’s Kospi gained 10.74 points, or 0.41 per cent at 2,620.32.
International oil prices inched lower on Monday morning after Israel said it had “concluded” a series of strikes in southern Gaza, a move raising concerns about supply from the Middle East. Brent oil futures traded 0.16 points, or 0.20 per cent lower at 81.81 while US WTI futures are trading 0.40 points, or 0.52 per cent at 76.44.
