Stock Market LIVE Updates | Nifty Fights To Hold 22,000 After Worst Week In Five Months, Fed Meet Key
The most asked questions every 60 days are back – “Will they, or will they not?” “If not, then when?” These questions bring the US Federal Reserve into the spotlight every two months. And while India’s markets have mostly turned insulated from what the Fed does, every decision still has a sentimental impact nonetheless.
This comes on the back of the Nifty witnessing its worst week since October last year. The index declined 2% in the week dominated by the sell-off in the broader markets. Both the Nifty Midcap and Smallcap index declined over 5% last week, which was their worst since December 2022. Although they did manage to recover some of their losses over Thursday and Friday, which may give the bulls some hope in the upcoming week.
