Stock Market Live Updates: Sensex, Nifty open lower (File Image)
Indian benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty opened with minor cuts on Friday (March 15). Sensex opened 210.50 or 0.29 per cent lower to 72,886.80 while Nifty slipped 81.90, or 0.37 per cent at 22,064.80.
International crude oil remained underpinned by US crude inventories data along with attacks on Russian oil refineries. Brent crude oil slipped 0.21 per cent at $85.24 a barrel while WTI price is trading 0.20 per cent lower at $81.11 per barrel.
Asian market traded in red territory after hot US inflation report. Nikkei is trading with 0.28 per cent lower at 38,689.04 while Kospi tanked 1.43 per cent at 2,680.52.
