NEW DELHI: FMCG shares closed higher in the Monday’s session.
Nakoda Group Of Industries Ltd.(up 8.14%), Vadilal Industries Ltd.(up 5.97%), Procter & Gamble Hygiene & Healthcare Ltd.(up 4.23%), Sheetal Cool Products Ltd.(up 3.93%), Gillette India Ltd.(up 2.84%), Bajaj Consumer Care Ltd.(up 2.70%), Godrej Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.40%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.94%), Prataap Snacks Ltd.(up 1.08%) and Patanjali Foods Ltd.(up 1.04%) stood among the top gainers.
Dangee Dums Ltd.(down 3.20%), Jyothy Labs Ltd.(down 2.71%), Hatsun Agro Products Ltd.(down 2.27%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.08%), Adani Wilmar Ltd.(down 1.98%), Parag Milk Foods Ltd.(down 1.88%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.20%), Heritage Foods Ltd.(down 0.96%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.90%) and ADF Foods Ltd.(down 0.66%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 32.36 points up at 22055.7, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 104.99 points at 72748.42.
Tata Steel Ltd.(up 5.65%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.15%), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.05%), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.82%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.57%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.05%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.59%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.5%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.49%) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 1.43%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.08%), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.92%), UPL Ltd.(down 1.92%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.59%), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.48%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.32%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.28%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.23%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.2%) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.9%) closed in the red.
