NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 11:00AM(IST)on Wednesday in an upbeat market.
Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.3 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Persistent Systems Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 1.36 per cent), Coforge Ltd.(down 1.23 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) and MphasiS Ltd.(down 0.85 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was down 0.68 per cent at 37771.35 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 1.05 points at 22198.0, while the BSE Sensex was up 17.1 points at 73074.5.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Zee Ent., NHPC and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of Renaissance Global, Bigbloc Const, Manaksia Coated, Zuari Global and Salzer Electro hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Shyam Telecom, Cosmo Films, Credo Brands Marketi, N K Industries and Ebixcash World Money hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
