NEW DELHI: Power shares closed higher in the Wednesday’s session.
KPI Green Energy Ltd.(up 2.76%), Torrent Power Ltd.(up 1.49%), JSW Energy Ltd.(up 0.51%), Adani Power Ltd.(up 0.50%) and NLC India Ltd.(up 0.12%) stood among the top gainers.
GE Power India Ltd.(down 6.32%), Inox Wind Energy Ltd.(down 5.00%), Inox Wind Ltd.(down 5.00%), Suzlon Energy Ltd.(down 4.92%), GE T&D India Ltd.(down 4.75%), Orient Green Power Company Ltd.(down 4.17%), Jyoti Structures Ltd.(down 3.44%), KEC International Ltd.(down 3.27%), Reliance Power Ltd.(down 3.26%) and Voltamp Transformers Ltd.(down 3.07%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 117.75 points up at 22474.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 408.86 points at 74085.99.
Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 3.05%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 2.57%), Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.2%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 2.13%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.96%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 1.9%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.73%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.63%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.62%) and Titan Company Ltd.(up 1.6%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 2.31%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 2.01%), NTPC Ltd.(down 1.76%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.24%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.05%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.01%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.89%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.79%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.45%) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.42%) closed in the red.
