The US stock market is scheduled to expand to a 23-hour weekday trading system starting Dec. 6.
Cointelegraph, a media outlet focused on virtual assets, reported on Sept. 17 that US exchanges plan to extend trading hours to allow stock trading during most weekday hours.
The US Securities and Exchange Commission has also signaled the market could eventually move to a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week trading system.
However, officials have yet to disclose when around-the-clock trading would begin or how it would work.
