The Morning Bull – US Market Morning Update Wednesday, Aug, 26 2026

US stock futures are pointing higher this morning, with S&P 500 contracts up about 0.3% and Nasdaq-100 futures ahead roughly 0.6%. The move comes as the US 10 year Treasury yield holds around 4.7%, which keeps borrowing costs elevated for mortgages, credit cards and corporate debt. At the same time, investors are watching the Chicago Fed National Activity Index, which slipped to -0.08 in July, a sign overall growth has cooled slightly. The big question now is whether upcoming inflation data and the Jackson Hole policy speech push bond yields higher again, which would put interest rate sensitive sectors like real estate and smaller US Market companies under closer scrutiny.
