Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as the Dow Industrials posted its best day since early August, and what’s on the radar for the next session. The jobs report The Dow Jones consensus estimate calls for 53,000 jobs created in August. The number comes out at 8:30 a.m. ET live on ” Squawk Box ” with Becky Quick, Andrew Ross Sorkin and Joe Kernen. Prediction market platform Kalshi is covering the jobs report. Some 47% think the number will be above 50,000, while 42% above 60,000. Twenty-seven percent see it coming in above 70,000 and 24% above 80,000. Don’t miss the real number at 8:30 a.m. The revenge of the Magnificent Seven Jim Cramer of ” Mad Money ” focused on Big Tech Thursday night. He made his case for each, one by one. Check it all out in the first few minutes of tonight’s show, available on CNBC.com under the video tab . Amazon was up 1.5% on Thursday. It is up 32% from the February low. Apple is up 2.6% week to date and up 8% in a month. Shares are off almost 5% from the July 29 high. Meta Platforms is up 5.7% in four days. It’s down 23% from the high hit last September. Tesla is up almost 8% in four days. The stock is off 25% from the December 2025 high. Nvidia is up 5% in four days. Shares are off 3% from the May high. Microsoft is up 4.6% in a month. Shares are down 8% from the October 2025 high. Alphabet hasn’t seen a recent run like the others. It is down 1% week to date. Shares are down 16% from the May high. CNBC TV’s Kristina Partsinevelos covers the chips, and she’ll have more on Nvidia’s run Friday MSFT 1M mountain Microsoft in the past month Hooray for Hollywood CNBC TV’s Julia Boorstin will report on the industry as closes in on a record summer for revenue, but that’s because of higher ticket prices. Overall ticket sales, however, are down from pre-Covid levels. Shares of Imax are up 33% since the start of summer. They’re down 6.5% from the high hit in late August. Shares of Cinemark are up 18% since the start of summer. It’s off 10% from the last month’s high. The Marcus Corporation is up 41% since the start of summer. It’s down 15% from last month’s high. Zscaler CEO Jay Chaudhry joins “Squawk on the Street” Friday in the 10 a.m. hour. Zscaler beat earnings estimates and guidance expectations, as more customers bought the company’s cybersecurity protection while worries over artificial intelligence hack attempts grow. The stock is up 15% in a month and it’s marginally lower after hours.
