Easy Trip Planners to make electric buses; shares jump 14%
Online travel agency Easy Trip Planners announced on Thursday plans to invest Rs 2 billion in manufacturing electric buses in India, boosting its shares by up to 14%. The investment, spread over two to three years, will be directed toward setting up a manufacturing facility, as well as research and product development, according to the company, which operates EaseMyTrip.com.
The benchmark indices continued to trade with minor losses due to concern of slowdown in the US & Chinese economy. Bank of Baroda to issue 10-year infra bonds, say bankers
Bank of Baroda aims to raise Rs 50 billion ($595.5 million), including a Rs 30 billion greenshoe option, through 10-year infrastructure bonds, according to three bankers on Thursday. The state-owned lender will seek coupon and commitment bids for the issue on Friday. In August, the bank raised Rs 50 billion through 10-year infrastructure bonds at a 7.30% coupon.
