Rama Phosphates Ltd.(down 4.13%), Paradeep Phosphates Ltd.(down 4.08%), Madras Fertilizers Ltd.(down 3.81%), Nagarjuna Fertilizers and Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.90%), Zuari Agro Chemicals Ltd.(down 2.89%), Southern Petrochemicals Industries Corporation Ltd.(down 2.82%), National Fertilizers Ltd.(down 2.64%), Agro Phos India Ltd.(down 2.26%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 2.21%) and Aries Agro Ltd.(down 2.14%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 238.25 points down at 21817.45, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 736.37 points at 72012.05.
Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.41%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.39%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 0.68%), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.48%), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.47%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 0.29%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.26%), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.25%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 0.23%) and Titan Company Ltd.(up 0.11%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 4.23%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 4.22%), Cipla Ltd.(down 3.55%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 3.43%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 3.28%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.27%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.26%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 3.15%), Wipro Ltd.(down 3.01%) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.7%) closed in the red.
