MOIL Ltd.(up 6.64%), NMDC Ltd.(up 2.28%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.54%) and Pokarna Ltd.(up 0.68%) stood among the top gainers.
Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 5.92%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 4.39%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(down 3.51%), 20 Microns Ltd.(down 3.51%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(down 2.73%), KIOCL Ltd.(down 2.58%), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(down 1.09%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(down 0.79%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(down 0.45%) and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(down 0.34%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 27.2 points up at 22405.6, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 66.14 points at 73872.29.
NTPC Ltd.(up 3.55%), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.04%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.72%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.69%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.44%), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.07%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.55%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.54%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.1%) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.92%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 2.83%), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.45%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.0%), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.87%), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.7%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.64%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.48%), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.39%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.27%) and Infosys Ltd.(down 1.16%) closed in the red.
